‣ Püsialusega arvusüsteemis, * täiend, mille saab vaadeldavast arvust tuletada ta lahutamise teel aluse etteantud astmest.
Näide:
▫ Kolmekohalises kümnendsüsteemis on numeraali 170 täistäiend 830; aluse aste on 1000.
Märkus:
▫Täistäiendi leidmiseks võib kõigepealt leida vaegtäiendi, seejärel aga liita tulemuse madalaimale kohale ühe ning sooritada vajalikud ülekanded.

radix complement

‣ In a fixed radix numeration system, a complement that can be derived from a given number by subtracting if from a specified power of the radix.
Näide:
▫ 830 is the radix complement of 170 in the decimal numeration system using three digits, the power of the radix being 1 000.
Märkus:
▫The radix complement may be obtained by first deriving the diminished radix complement, then adding one to the least significant digit of the result and executing any carries required.
