Märkus:
▫Kaks sündmust x ja y on eriti sõnum mingi kanali * sõnumiallikas ja sõnum sama kanali sõnumineelus.
▫Edastatava infosisalduse saab väljendada ka kujul
T ( x,y) = I ( x) + I ( y) - I ( x¦y),
kus I ( y) on sündmuse y infosisaldus. Siit järeldub ta sümmeetria x ja y suhtes:
T ( x,y) = T ( y,x).

Märkus:
▫1 The two events x and y are particularly a message at the message source of a channel and a message at the message sink of the channel.
▫2 The transinformation content can also be expressed as:
T ( x, y) = I ( x) + I ( y) - I ( x¦y)
where I ( y) is the information content of the event y. From this follows that it is symmetric in x and y.
T ( x, y) = T ( y, x).
