‣ Aadress IP-protokollis.
Märkus:
▫See aadress on 32-bitine (või IP-protokolli järgmises versioonis pikem) arv. Üldiselt esitatakse ta nelja kümnendnotatsioonis ja punktidega eraldatud arvu jadana. Arvuti IP-aadress koosneb harilikult kahest osast: arvuti asukoha võrgu numbrist ja arvutit selles võrgus identifitseerivast osast.
▫IP-protokoll ei piirdu Internetiga, teda võidakse kasutada ka mõnedes muudes võrkudes.

‣ An address in the Internet Protocol.
Märkus:
▫This address is a number of 32 bits (or more in the next version of this protocol). It is generally represented by a sequence of four numbers in decimal notation, separated by dots. The IP address of a computer comprises usually two parts: the network number of the network on which this computer is located, and a part identifying the computer inside its network.
▫The „Internet Protocol„ is not limited to Internet, and may be used on some other networks.
